This standard applies to oils to fill at overseas production facilities where genuine products are difficult to obtain or to be recommended in owner's manuals for maintenance in general export destinations (hereinafter called "overseas recommended oils").
PURPOSE
This standard aims to clarify specifications requirements and considerations to be taken with regard to engine oils to fill at overseas production facilities or to be recommended for use in general export destinations. It also aims to promote sharing of information on recommended oils and facilitate the oil brand selection process.
